The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has commended the airlines involved in the 2025 Hajj airlift for their strict adherence to schedule, describing their performance as key to the smooth execution of this year’s pilgrimage exercise.
In a statement issued on Sunday May 25, 2025, by Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director-Information and Publications, said the Commission said Air Peace, UMZA Aviation, and Max Air have all concluded the airlift of their allotted pilgrims, with the last flight operated by Max Air departing today, May 25, from Katsina and Kano States.
“Their efficiency and commitment to timelines ensured a well-coordinated Hajj airlift, and we are grateful for that,” the statement quoted NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, as saying.
According to the Commission, FlyNas, the only foreign carrier in the operation, is currently wrapping up its segment, with final flights scheduled for Kebbi pilgrims and VIPs between May 26 and May 29.
NAHCON praised all stakeholders, including pilgrims, state welfare boards, and Commission staff, for their cooperation, stating that collective effort made the difference in this year’s coordination.
The Commission urged all remaining pilgrims with visas to make themselves available as the final flights conclude in the coming days.
