Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, joined Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray in a shock loan move from Napoli in 2024.

The 26-year-old has since scored 35 goals and made eight assists in 39 appearances, breaking several records along the way.

This followed 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 appearances with the Partenopei.

Most Goals by a Foreign Player in a Single Season: Osimhen scored 35 goals across all competitions, surpassing the previous record of 34 goals set by Mario Jardel in the 2000-2001 season. This milestone was achieved with his brace in the Turkish Cup final against Trabzonspor on May 14, 2025.

First Foreign Player to Score a Brace in a Turkish Cup Final: Osimhen became the first foreign player in Galatasaray’s history to score twice in a Turkish Cup final, achieving this feat in the 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor on May 14, 2025. His goals helped secure the club’s 19th Turkish Cup title.

Personal Best Goal-Scoring Season: Osimhen set a new personal record by scoring 33 goals across all competitions in the 2024-25 season, surpassing his previous career-high of 31 goals during the 2022-23 season with Napoli. This milestone was reached with a brace against Sivasspor on May 3, 2025.

Most Shots in a Single Super Lig Match: On his debut for Galatasaray against Rizespor on September 14, 2024, Osimhen recorded seven shots in a 5-0 win, setting a record for the most shots in a single Super Lig match during the 2024-25 season. This performance highlighted his immediate Impact and attacking prowess.

Goal or Assist in First Six Super Lig Games: Osimhen became the first player in a decade to score or assist in each of his first six Super Lig games for Galatasaray, a record last set by Bafétimbi Gomis in the 2014-15 season.
