The recovered shuttle bus

Police operatives attached to the Obosi Divisional Headquarters over the weekend recovered a stolen shuttle bus with Reg No: AGU 651 ZL belonging to the Transport Company of Anambra State popularly known as (TRACAS) at Nkwelle in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Information has it the shuttle bus which snatched on Saturday was recovered few hours after it was snatched by armed hoodlums who also collected a cash of twenty thousand Naira from the driver.
This was contained in a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, on Sunday.
According to him, the Security Operatives swung into action following a distress call to the Anambra State Police Command Control Room by the driver on how the five-man armed criminal gang disguised themselves as passengers and dispossessed him of a cash sum of Twenty thousand Naira (N20,000) only and the shuttle bus.
The statement reads in part: ?Consequently, the Operatives acted swiftly and alerted the necessary security checkpoints to deny the criminals access to escape which forced the hoodlums to abandon the vehicle at Slaughter Junction, in Nkwelle and fled through a nearby bush.
?Meanwhile, security patrols have been intensified in the area to enhance safety and nip to the bud any untoward situation and for possible arrest of the fleeing suspects.?
