Matthew A Akinwale
Rapture is a popular teaching in Christendom, but it will surprise you to know that as popular as rapture is, it is not in the Bible.
In the Bible, Jehovah God said that we must not add to his word in Prov. 30:5 6 and Ps. 5:6.
The Bible makes it clear that Jehovah created the earth to be inhabited.
He put Adam in Eden on earth as their home and that of their children forever. (Gen. 1:28)
Adam lost that paradise, but Jehovah’s purpose for the earth to be inhabited has never changed as you can read in Isa. 45:18.
The Bible teaches that Jehovah God will destroy all the wicked ones worldwide and make the earth a paradise. (Ps 37:9, 10). Take note of what Ps 37:29 says: “The righteous will live on earth forever.”
Jehovah has promised to “swallow up death forever.” (Isa. 25:8. Rev. 21:4, 5).
That is why Jesus said that we should pray for God's Kingdom to come (Matt 6:9, 10) and that “the meek shall inherit the earth.” (Matt. 5:5).
Jesus promised taking his disciples to heaven (John 14:1-3). But take note of Rev. 14:1-3, which disclosed that that only 144,000 are invited by Jehovah to reign with his son in heaven as kings and priests. Also see Rev. 5:10, 19:9.
We must not go beyond what is written in the Bible. (1 Cor. 4:6)
Not only that the word rapture is not in the Bible, but there is nowhere in the Scriptures where Jehovah God promised taking all righteous humans to heaven.
