A Lagos-based TikTok user, @queenlatina08, whom FIJ can identify simply as Lateefah, has claimed she resigned from the Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) at the United Bank for Africa (UBA) after two years owing to depression.
In a video Lateefah shared on February 2, she said she left the job that week after working for almost two years and did not have the mental health to continue.
Her caption read, ?I decided I wasn?t going again. I don leave the job for who get mental health. Worked for almost two years till I got depressed.? In the video, she can be seen wearing a branded UBA T-shirt.
When other users asked her if she could resign without giving notice, she said the company sacks staff similarly, and she could do the same.
She also said many were stuck working at the CFC because of their salaries. ?Our mental health really matters,? she added.
Reacting to the video, several users who say they worked at the bank at different times claimed they experienced ill-treatment as staff.
They said they had no career growth opportunity and faced regular threats. (FIJ, excluding headline)
