A human rights activist and Chairman, Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun State (CSCEOS), Comrade Adeniyi, Alimi Sulaiman, has described the appointment of Council Managers to man the constitutionally recognised 30 Local Government Areas of the state and the 31 newly created moribund Local Council Development Authorities (LCDA) in the state as a fraud of highest order, initiated by the state governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola.

Meanwhile, the immediate past Head of Service (HoS) in the state, Elder Segun Akinwusi, has declared that Governor Aregbesola came to the state to milk its meager resources dry, just as he stated that it was ungodly and satanic for Aregbesola to owe workers’ salaries of many months in the state. He recalled how Aregbesola and his cohorts siphoned the meager resources of the State through phantom projects like the ‘Tablet of Knowledge,’ abandoned roads and so on.

Speaking at the weekend during the 1^st symposium lecture with a theme “Osun State Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”, organised by CSCEOS to mark one year of brutal attack on peaceful protesters by groomed political thugs of Aregbesola, popularly called State Boys. The Emancipation Rally was in support of a courageous female Judge of the State High Court, Justice Olamide Folahanmi Oloyede, over her 39 pages petition to the State House of Assembly, calling for credible investigation into the alleged criminal mismanagement of Osun State public funds by Mr. Aregbesola.

Comrade Sulaiman who recalled that it was pathetic on the fateful day of Tuesday 7^th of July, 2015, when security agents charged with the responsibility of protecting the lives of armless citizens, took to their heels and gave chance to the State Boys to have a field day in disrupting the peaceful rally where participants including members of Nigeria Union of Pensioners sustained various degrees of injuries, insisting that the group would ensure that Mr. Aregbesola was brought to justice for wrongly dipping his hand into the public funds of the State, particularly, the local government funds, even after leaving office in 2018.
