Residents of No. 74 Lagos Street, Obohia Road, in Aba South Local Government Area, Abia State, have called on Governor Dr. Alex Otti for assistance following a devastating midnight fire that destroyed property worth millions.

While no lives were lost, the fire left the affected residents homeless, as their belongings were completely consumed by the flames.

The fire started at approximately 11:17 PM, quickly engulfing the entire building and reducing everything to ashes.

Eyewitnesses reported that the fire spread rapidly, overwhelming the structure before emergency responders could arrive.

Though the exact cause remains unknown, residents suspect an electrical fault may have sparked the blaze.
