Obi speaking the condolence visit to Governor Radda

Peter Obi, former presidential aspirant and Labour Party chieftain, was in Katsina State today, 1st April, 2025, to pay a condolence visit to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, over the passing of his mother.
Obi who disclosed this on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, described the loss of Governor Radda?s mother as ?an immeasurable loss,? and expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of the matriarch of the Radda family.
?Today, I made a solemn trip to Katsina to pay my personal, sincere condolences to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on the passing of his beloved mother, Hajiya Safara?u Umaru Barbari.
?Losing a loved one, especially a mother, is an immeasurable loss, and I can only imagine the grief that he and his family are experiencing at this moment,? stated Obi.
Obi further stated that he hoped to offer some comfort to the bereaved Radda family through his prayers, and expressed solidarity with the Katsina Governor and the entire Barbari family.
?During my visit, I conveyed my sympathies and prayers, hoping to offer some comfort in this time of sorrow.
?I stand in solidarity with Governor Radda, his immediate family, and the extended Barbari family as they navigate this painful period,? Obi stated.
In conclusion, he prayed for the peaceful repose of soul of the late matriarch.
?I pray that the Almighty Allah forgive her sins and grant her eternal rest in His kingdom; and His Excellency and his family the strength to bear this loss with fortitude and grace,? prayed Obi.
