Former presidential aspirant and Labour Party chieftain, Peter Obi, was at the internally displaced persons, IDPs, camp at Durumi in Abuja, yesterday, Monday, March 31, 2025, to celebrate Eid-el-Fitir with occupants of the camp.

Obi who made the disclosure on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, hailed the IDPs for their resilience and willingness to thrive in the face of adversity, and called on all Nigerians to be inspired by their lives.

?Today, in the true spirit of Eid-love, compassion, and solidarity?I paid a visit to the IDP Camp in Durumi, Abuja, to support and share moments with our fellow Nigerians who, due to unfortunate circumstances, have been displaced from their homes.

?Their resilience, strength, and unwavering faith in the face of adversity demand our attention and continue to inspire us all,? stated Obi.

Obi sized the opportunity of his visit to call on all Nigerians to reflect on the essence of the Eid celebration and to work together towards building a nation that can cater to the needs of everyone, and which Nigerians will be proud of.

?Let us reflect on the true essence of Eid?sacrifice, charity, and unity. This is a time to renew our commitment to building a nation where every Nigerian, regardless of background, has access to the basic necessities of life.

?We must continue to invest in critical areas of development?education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation?to create a more just, inclusive, and prosperous Nigeria where no one is left behind.

?Eid Mubarak once again! May God Almighty bless this season and bring peace, happiness, and progress to our dear nation.
