Expect thunderstorms, clouds and rains showers today: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, July 8, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Overnight into morning thunderstorms are likely in Sokoto, Kano, Nguru, Dutse, Katsina, Maiduguri and Yelwa axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 33- 340C.

CENTRAL STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy with chances of morning rain over Jos and Lafia. Few thunderstorms are expected over the high ground areas of the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 330C.

SOUTHERN STATES: The morning hours are expected to be cloudy, however, chances of rain showers are likely over Calabar, Eket and Yenegoa. Also, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms in the evening hours over the inland areas and coastal cities. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 28- 320C.
