The Lagos State Police Command has arrested 33-year-old Paul Digha and Sunday Olukoya over the death of 25-year-old Emmanuel.
On March 8, 2025, at about 3:33 pm, a man in Satellite Town reported at Victoria Island Division that Emmanuel engaged Digha and Alukoya at NPA Road, Victoria Island, at Harbour Point off Wilmer Road, Victoria Island, over a yet-to-be-determined issue.
In the process, Emmanuel sustained a severe injury and he was rushed to the Lagos Island General Hospital, Marina for treatment where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty based on the report of a team.
Spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said detectives visited the scene and the hospital was also visited where the corpse was inspected and photographed and the corpse deposited at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
“The two suspects who engaged the deceased in the fight that led to his death have been arrested and in police custody investigation is in progress.”
Also, a team of policemen attached to the Iju Division while on stop and search duty at Fagba Junction, Iju on March 8, 2025, arrested a notorious 26-year-old cultist, Ibrahim Toheeb alias Baale who has been on the police wanted list for cults-related killings.
Toheeb was arrested while others escaped. Some wraps of illicit drugs were also recovered.
Meanwhile, on March 7, 2025, a team of policemen attached to Ketu Police Division while on a stop and search duty at Y Junction along Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ketu, Lagos accosted a suspected hoodlum later identified as 27-year-old Shaibu Useni.
On searching him, a locally made revolver long gun with four expended cartridges and some substances suspected to be hard drugs were recovered.
The suspect was taken into custody and exhibits were registered. (The Guardian)
