IGP Kayode Egbetokun and PSC Chairman Argungu
The Integrity Youth Alliance, an organisation that has been monitoring the development trends in the Nigerian Police Force for over 15 years, has called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), to reconsider the RC-11 Admission list.
Reacting to many complaints by police personnel that the names of their children, who did excellently, were missing on the RC-11 admission list., the National Coordinator of the Alliance appealed to Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), to reconsider the list in line with the principle of the former Commandant, DIG Sadiq Abubakar, that many police children would be admitted this year.
?We as a youth organisation will also be glad to see many police children gain admission into the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, in line with the college?s objective of providing an institution capable of producing qualitative manpower, especially at the ASP and Inspectorate cadre, to meet up with the middle-level manpower requirements of the Nigeria Police Force, Adegbenga said.
?It is on this ground we passionately appeal to the two advocates of education, Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd), to reconsider the RC-11 Admission list and give more opportunity to the police children who have missed the 2025/2026 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with the hope that they will make the RC-11 Admission list, the statement concluded.
