?Want them exposed, punished

Women in Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State have taken to the streets to lay curses on the perpetrators of crime in the community.

The women, who spoke to newsmen during the peaceful demonstration, were dressed in white attires, and said their community was not known for crises or criminality.

They explained that they decided to come together to lay curses on the perpetrators of evil in the land for peace to return to the area, adding that enough was enough.

The women, numbering over one hundred, said kidnapping, robbery and cultism were not part of the community from inception, hence the criminals and their supporters would not know peace until they moved out of the area.

While praying to God to continue to protect the residents of the Community, they equally asked God to expose the criminals in the locality.

They noted that the area was gradually becoming deserted because, according to them, many people had moved out of the Community for safety, because of criminals.

They lauded the state government for sending some security agents to the area, appealing to the security agents to perform their duties without fear or favour. (Delta State News Bulletin)
