Edo PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, today, Monday, March 3, 2025, made a commanding appearance at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja as the Tribunal adopted final written addresses from all parties — setting the stage for judgment on the disputed governorship election.

At the resumed hearing, counsel for the petitioners and respondents formally adopted their written submissions, marking the conclusion of legal arguments. The Tribunal has reserved judgment, with a date to be communicated to the parties in due course.

It will be recalled that Dr. Ighodalo’s legal team presented 154 BVAS machines, certified true copies of result sheets, and polling unit records — uncontested evidence that exposed widespread irregularities, including over-voting, non-serialisation of electoral materials, and INEC’s incorrect computation of scores.

In contrast, Senator Monday Okpebholo’s defence suffered a significant setback as INEC, the 1st respondent, failed to present a single witness to justify the conduct of the September 21, 2024 election.
