Benue Assembly approves removal of chief judge over alleged abuse of office

The Benue State House of Assembly has approved the removal of the state’s Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Maurice Ikpambese, over allegations of financial impropriety and abuse of office.

The Assembly further directed that the next most senior judge be sworn in as acting Chief Judge pending the outcome of an investigation into the allegations. (The Nation)
