The Chief Medical Director (CMD) Nasarawa State Hospitals Management Board (NSHMB), Dr. Egba Edego, has encouraged Management staff of all the 21 General Hospitals in the state to redouble efforts in order to revamp health care service delivery in the state.

Speaking during the meeting held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Dr. Edego advised them to maintain the team spirit that has made the organisation achieve some level of improvements in 2024 to enable it to record greater achievements this year.

He also called on them to ?abide by set rules, work ethics and follow due process? in order to strengthen functionality of all units and promote collective progress.

Resolutions reached at the meeting held at the Board Headquarters include the following:

- Daily reconciliation should be done timely and correctly

- There should not be disparities in drug revolving reconciliation sent to the Board and DSMA

- Equipment repairs should follow due process

- All members should participate in monthly Management meetings

- Conduct monthly requisition meeting with all members present

- Payment for services should be done centrally in the account units

- Consumables will be provided by the Board to eliminate sharp practices

- Guidelines will be sent to all hospitals to regulate spending

- Disciplinary measures will be vested on staff that commits truancy.
