The Northern Star Youth Empowerment Initiative (NSYEI) has joined in mourning former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), General Jeremiah Useni.

Aged 82, the former FCT minister during the military regime of General Sani Abacha died Saturday January 23, 2025, in Paris after a protracted illness.

While expressing deep sadness over the death of the elder statesman, Director General of the movement, Dr Abdullahi Idris said the death was a big loss to the north and the nation as a whole.

?General Useni was one of the very courageous and valuable leaders whose contributions and direction Northern star youth empowerment initiative has benefited from?, Dr Idris added in a statement issued to newsmen in Kaduna on Friday, January 24, 2025.

He therefore extended the deep condolences of his Movement to his family, friends, associates and the nation at large.
