A prominent People Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant for next year’s Ekiti State governorship election, Otunba Emmanuel Fayose, has expressed confidence in dislodging the incumbent governor, Biodun Oyebanji, in the forthcoming poll.

In a statement his media office made available to newsmen in Abuja, Otunba Fayose emphasised that his resolve to contest is borne out of his desire to rework Ekiti State to the path of growth and development.

“I am in the race to dislodge Oyebanjiled government and eventually if I win, I will run an inclusive government that would steer Ekiti in the right direction,” Fayose promised in the statement.

Reacting further, Otunba Fayose noted that the need for more emphasis and clarification regarding his desire to run is as a result of the recent meeting between a former governor of the state, Mr. Ayodele Fayose and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos recently.

At the well publicised meeting, the former governor who coincidentally is the elder brother to Otunba Fayose told President Tinubu that he would be supporting the incumbent to return which party members across Ekiti State considered as anti-party. (Sun)
