File photo of gunmen during an operation
By PAMELA EBOH, Awka
A native doctor over the weekend lost three sons to gunmen in his Nise home, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Information has it that the killers scaled the wall of the building to gain entry into the compound to carry out their plot, and subsequently left the compound unnoticed.
According to reports, the three boys, aged between 3 and 6 years old were at their parents? residence when an unidentified person or persons were found inside their father?s car, parked within the compound.
Though the story is not yet well established at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that the children had been murdered with their mouths tied and their bodies lying in the pools of their own blood.
It was also gathered that their father, a young man in his early thirties, is a native doctor and a businessman.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity said the young man whose name is still unknown typically locked the children inside the compound while he went for business, accompanied by their mother.
The source added: ?He would return home to serve them a meal before heading back to his business after locking them up.?
He was further reported to have been having issues with some persons, but it is yet to be determined if the conflicts led to the death of the three children.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), SP Tochikwu Ikenga, said the report had not reached his office for comment but promised to provide a statement after being properly briefed.
