By PAMELA EBOH, Awka
The Chairman and CEO of Stine Industries Ltd, Akai Egwuonwu, has expressed shock over the tragedies that occurred in Ihiala LGA on Monday, December 30, 2024.
Egwuonwu in a short statement made available to journalists on Tuesday by his media team described Ihiala Council area as an important one in the entire Anambra South LGA.
He said: "Ihiala is an important LGA in Anambra South, and we mourn the fire outbreak at Nkwo Ogbe in Ihiala as well as the violence by non-state actors.
?Both incidents led to the loss of lives and loss of means of livelihood, and it is regrettable.?
He further prayed God to strengthen the people, even as he called on good spirited Anambra South indigenes to look at ways to assist the affected small business owners to get back on their feet.
?MSMEs are an important player in the business community. Those affected by this unfortunate fire outbreak at Nkwo Ogbe fall under this category.
?If you recall, we had set as one of our top agenda, seed capital for MSMEs. We also pledged to critically evaluate and prioritize resolving the raging insecurity in Anambra State. These events have now strengthened our resolve and dedication to our agendas,?
Egwuonwu who is the leading Senatorial aspirant gunning to replace late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah under the umbrella of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, further sent his condolences to the families of the deceased in the violence involving non-state actors.
