The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for Thursday June 16, 2016.
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over some places around Kano, Katsina, Potiskum and Maiduguri axis in the morning with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto –Yelwa axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32- 38oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the central cities in the morning expect the Mambila Plateau axis with the chances of thunderstorms. Possibilities of isolated thunderstorm are not unlikely over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida, Lokoja and Kaduna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30-32oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated with localised thunderstorms over Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu and Awka in the morning. Isolated thunderstorms are expected later in the day over some places like Shaki, Ibadan Abeakuta and Oshogbo. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29-33oC.
