Late former Supreme Court Justice Uthman Muhammad Argungu

Distinguished Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah extends his heartfelt condolences to the family of Uthman Muhammad Argungu, a former Justice of the Supreme Court on his passing.
Justice Argungu died on Saturday night, December 21, 2024 in his hometown, Argungu, Kebbi State.
Sen Na’Allah also conveyed his condolences to members of the bar and bench across nation, the people of Argungu, Kebbi State and indeed Nigerians; describing the late Justice as “a wonderful example of humility personified.”
Justice Argungu, was an octogenarian, who served in the Supreme Court for 12 years, from 1993 to 2005 when he retired.
In a terse condolence message, Sen Na’Allah said there are no words enough to describe the irreparable loss of Justice Argungu.
His words: “I have just received with shock the sad news of the passing away of Hon Justice Uthman Muhammad Argungu JSC as he then was in Argungu.
“There are no words enough to describe the irreparable loss of My Lord Justice Uthman Muhammad Argungu.
“He was such a wonderful example of humility personified.
“Both the bar and the bench, the people of Kebbi and indeed Nigerians would greatly miss him”.
Sen Na’Allah prayed to Allah to grant him Aljanna Firdausi and comfort his immediate family and the people of Argungu the fortitude to bear the loss.
Emir of Argungu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammad Mera, and other top government officials were among those who attended the burial, according to Islamic rites, earlier today (Sunday, December 22) in Argungu.
