In a move to enhance the efficiency of the federal civil service, President Bola Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries.

According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the appointees are to fill existing and anticipated vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones. This latest appointment follows a previous set of eight secretaries appointed in June.

The new permanent secretaries, selected through a rigorous process recommended by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, are: Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State), Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State), Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State), and Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State).

Others are Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State), Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State), Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State) and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)
