Olowookere, Flamingos head coach

Bankole Olowookere, the head coach of Nigeria’s U17 Women’s football team, the Flamingos, has selected Shakirat Moshood, Harmony Chidi and 18 others for the WAFU B U17 Girls’ Cup starting on Thursday.
Ademola Olajire, the NFF’s Head of Communications stated this in a statementon Tuesday.
Goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma and defenders Taiwo Adegoke and Ayomide Ibrahim made the list.
Also midfielder, Faridat Abdulwahab, alongside forwards Peace Effiong and Mary Lucky Nkpa, were selected.
The Flamingos are in group B of the two-week competition, alongside Niger Republic and Cote d’Ivoire, while hosts Ghana will play Benin Republic in group A, following the withdrawal of Burkina Faso.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Nigeria’s U17 girls reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup finals in the Dominican Republic in October,before losing to U.S. in the Round of 8.
