The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Sunday, June 12, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over some places around Sokoto in the morning with chances of thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Dutse and Yelwa axis. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 32- 38oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms are anticipated over the central cities in the morning. Possibilities of isolated thunderstorm are not unlikely over the high grounds of central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida, Lokoja and Kaduna in the afternoon/evening hours. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 30-32oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Slim chances of rains over the southern cities in the morning. Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated later in the day over some places like Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Enugu, Awka and Owerri. Maximum temperatures for the day are expected to be in the range of 29-33oC.
