The co-convener of The Experience, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin, on Friday, revealed that it costs about eight times more to organise this year’s Experience, an all-night gospel music concert, compared to previous years.

Speaking at a briefing to unveil all the gospel artistes that would be ministering later that night, Adefarasin stated that despite the increased cost, the passion to see a better society and to appreciate God for His goodness has kept the project going.

The convener, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, stated that, if not for the sacrifices of some critical stakeholders, including the gospel artistes, it would have been difficult to sustain the momentum of the project, which has grown and improved yearly.

He also said that he never foresaw the economic impact of The Experience, as the focus was on praise, although it has been recognised as a yearly contributor to Lagos’ tourism sector, with many people coming from outside Lagos and Nigeria to participate in the gospel music fiesta.

Adefarasin stressed that it is important for the government and other concerned stakeholders to fix the country’s education sector, noting that if not, there is a danger ahead as Nigeria’s population is expected to rise to 500 million. He further said that education is critical to fixing the country.

He said, “For 19 remarkable years, we have gathered—under the open skies of Tafawa Balewa Square and in countless homes across the world—to partake in a divine encounter. The EXPERIENCE has transcended its beginnings as a local gathering, blossoming into a global phenomenon that bears witness to the unfailing faithfulness of God. Millions join each year, united in worship, with one purpose: to glorify the name above all names, Jesus Christ.

“The lights that pierce the night at TBS—whether from raised hands, glowing screens, or illuminated faces—are more than fleeting visuals. They embody hope, unity, and a shared testament to the transformative power of faith. Whether you are here in Lagos or joining from across oceans, we are one people, with one heart, one voice, and one victorious declaration: JESUS WINS.

“What began as a vision has evolved into a movement of eternal significance. THE EXPERIENCE is more than an event—it is a sacred moment where worship converges with unity, where borders blur, and the divine speaks. Though our themes may change each year, the foundation remains steadfast. Every melody sung; every prayer lifted, every hand raised to heaven—echoes the enduring truth that it has always been, and always will be, about Jesus.

From Frank Edwards to Moses Bliss, Lecrae, Limoblaze, Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, Travis Greene, Dunsin Oyekan, and M and Revelation, all were excited to take the stage this year to minister, and they were optimistic that God would show up and bless the people through their ministrations.
