Recovered loot: FG to move MDAs to forfeited properties

The Federal Government has announced plans to move some government agencies to occupy forfeited properties from the recovered loot as a means of cutting down on government’s recurrent expenditures.

The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, said this at a meeting with the ministry’s steering committee of the efficiency unit.

She said that the government would also in addition roll out a pricing guideline for ministries and agencies.

According to her, the issuance of the new price guidelines will help the government to cut down on its spending on rents, and other daily consumable like stationery and fuel.

She also promised to collaborate with state governments to establish efficiency units, as the initiative is currently yielding results. (Channels TV)
