The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about Nigerian weather condition for today, Friday, June 10, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Early morning thunderstorms are likely over the North West around Kano, Katsina, Kebbi and part of Sokoto. Chances of moderate thunderstorms are likely to affect Maiduguri, Yobe and their environs in the afternoon/night hours. Day time temperatures should be in the range of 35- 38oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms are expected to affect few areas like Jalingo and Mambilla Plateau axis in the morning hours. Afternoon/evening localised thunderstorms are also likely around the high ground areas. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30-34oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of morning rainfall over Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar, Yenagoa and Uyo. Localised thunderstorms are anticipated over the region later in the afternoon/evening period. Day time temperatures are likely to be in the range of 29-33oC.
