New NUJ President Alhassan Yahaya

Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) 2024 Presidential Candidate, Comrade Garba Muhammad, has congratulated the newly elected President of the union, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya.
Muhammad, who lost to Yahya during the election held in Owerri, Imo State, in the wee hours of Thursday, November 28, 2024, said in a statement issued shortly thereafter: ?On behalf of the NUJ Presidency 2024 Campaign Organization, wish from the bottom of my heart, congratulate my brother, friend, and colleague, Comrade Alhassan Yahaya, on his election as President of our great Union.
Commending the new NUJ President?s ?tenacity, sense of purpose and magnanimity in victory?, Muhammad said: ?I commit myself and entire campaign organization to working with Comrade Yahya towards reinvigorating the NUJ for better performance and for fulfilling its role as the fourth estate of the realm.
