The mood at the residence of Pa Ademola Fashola, father of Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, located in the Eric Moore/Surulere area of the former Nigerian capital is wearing a somber look following the death, this morning, of the old man.
The same mournful mood is prevailing at the Governor’s House in Marina, Lagos Island, as well as at the Government House in Alausa, Ikeja, on the Mainland.
News Express learnt that Governor Fashola is particularly grieved because of his closeness to his father, whom he resembled as could be seen from the accompanying photograph. “He has however accepted it as the will of Allah,” News Express learnt.
A quiet and modest man, Pa Ademola Fashola chose to live far away from the opulence of his son’s office. Passing through his house, you wouldn’t know that such an important man lived there unless you were told. He enjoyed a good reputation and is generally well spoken of by neighbours.
The grand old man died this morning, aged 79, following a prolonged illness for which he was taken to the United States for treatments last year.
