Panic is buiding up in the camp of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over a prediction by a Lagos pastor that he might not live to see the next political dispensation dawning on May 29, 2015.
Yesterday, a concerned fan of the Lagos political godfather floated a support group named PRAY FOR TINUBU and sent out invitation for membership via Facebook. The group had grown to 144 members as at this morning.
Founder of the group, Seyi Bamigbade, works with Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora, the Senator representing Lagos East constituency and Publisher of De Fash Magazine. His invitation reads:
“PRAY FOR TINUBU; OPPONENTS VOW TO WASTE HIM BEFORE 2015 – Pastor predicts. DE FASH MAGAZINE,
“The General Overseer of Mountain of Liberation And Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor has said he predicted the death of the mother of the first lady which recently happened.
“It was said that the man of God predicted that, there will be death in the President’s household, and it was meant to take away someone close to them mysteriously but could be averted if they showed interest.
“He has also advised Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to beware because some of his strong opponent have (sic) vowed to ensure that he will not see May 29, 2015.”
Already, some of Tinubu’s fans have started responding to the call for prayers. One of them, Animashaun Adeyemi Q, wrote: “May Allah protect our amiable Leader and the newly registered party which we pray should liberate the entire masses from People Deceiving People.”
The 61-year-old Tinubu, who ruled Lagos from May 1999 to 2007, is one of the national leaders of the mega opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), registered yesterday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
