Hundreds of applicants will this morning write a competitive test in their bid to secure employment with THISDAY, one of Nigeria’s leading newspaper groups.
New Express learnt that the test will hold simultaneously at the Nigerian Law School in Lagos and THISDAY Dome, Abuja, from 11 a.m.
“Hundreds of job seekers will write the test covering English Language, Essay and current affairs,” a source told News Express. “In Lagos alone, over 100 candidates will write the test,” the source added.
One of those invited for the test told News Express: “The vacancies were not published. I was informed by an insider, who advised me to send in my CV. I did and was invited for the test.”
Successful candidates will undergo interviews before those who scale the hurdles are recruited for various editorial positions.
Though THISDAY has a history of delayed payment of salary, it remains a favourite of many Nigerian journalists due to its clout, which easily opens doors.
