Asaba, environs to experience power outage due to faulty transformer: BEDC

Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) on Saturday said that Asaba and its environs would experience power outage for a while because of transformer failure.

The company said, via a statement issued in Asaba by Mrs Esther Okolie, the Corporate Affairs Officer, Asaba and Agbor BEDC Unit, that there were some problems at the Asaba 330/132KV Transmission Station.

“BEDC wishes to inform her esteemed customers in Asaba and environs that due to the failure of 150MVA power transformer at the Asaba Transmission Station; these areas will be out of power supply.

“We, however, assure that we shall monitor developments on the transformer repairs at the TCN (Transmission Company of Nigeria) end to ensure that power is restored within the shortest possible time.

“BEDC pleads for your support and understanding during this period of outage and regrets the inconveniences being experienced in this regard.” (NAN)
