NYSC postpones 2016 Batch A (Stream II) orientation exercise

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2016 Batch ‘A’ stream 2 Orientation Course has been postponed.

The Orientation exercise was initially scheduled to commence on Saturday.

In a statement released by NYSC on Thursday, it said the new date would be announced in due time as soon as the NYSC sorts out necessary logistics.

“The Management of the National Youth Service Corps regrets to announce the postponement of the 2016 Batch ‘A’ (Stream II) Orientation course scheduled to commence on Saturday, 21st May, 2016 due to logistics reasons,” the statement read.

It added: “We enjoin all Prospective Corps members to watch out for a new date to be announced later. All inconveniences are highly regretted, please.”

Earlier this week, the Director-General of the service, Sule Kazure, told the Senate committee on youth and sports that the orientation programme might be postponed due to lack of funds required for the exercise. (tv360nigeria.com)
