The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has joined Nigerians and all well-wishers in the international community in celebrating the safe return of Amina Ali Nkek, one of the kidnapped Chibok school girls, who was freed from the infamous Sambisa Forest in Borno State on Wednesday.

“Amina’s return should strengthen our collective belief that our missing daughters and sisters from Chibok that are still held hostage will eventually be returned,” Saraki said in a statement issued in Abuja yesterday evening.

The Senate resident advised Nigerians to continue to pray for the recovery of all other over 200 abducted girls believed to still be held in Sambisa Forest by Boko Haram terrorists who took them away from their school dormitory on April 14, 2014.

“As we join the Nkek family to celebrate Amina today, we must also remember and continue to pray for the remaining families that are still yet to see, hear from, or locate their daughters,” Saraki said.

He reiterated that the 8th Senate is determined to provide appropriate legislation to protect lives and properties of every Nigerian.
