The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) hasvowed that the strike started Wednesday to protest the hike in fuel price would continue until the Federal Government accedes to its demands.

In Abuja, the strike started with a procession of unionists, workers, bedecked in T-shirts and displaying national flags who sang solidarity songs in the Federal Capital Territory in the morning.

News ExpressCorrespondent in Abuja monitored the protesters, who started marching at about9amfrom the Labour House in the Central District of Abuja to the Federal Secretariat.

The union vowed to down tools indefinitely until the Federal Government accedes to the laid down demands.

President of the congress, Mr Aliyu Wabba, while addressing the workers earlier, said: “I appreciate us all for this efforts. And now, we are to move from here to the Berger Junction, and we will continue in this every day until the government rescinds its decision.”
