The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday, May 14, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over some places around Maiduguri, Kano, Gusau, Katsina and Sokoto axis in the morning. There are prospects of thundery activities over Maiduguri as well as isolated cases of thunderstorms in a few places within the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 39-41oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorms are not unlikely over some parts of the central states including Abuja, Minna, Bida, Kaduna and Jos in the afternoon/evening hours. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30-39oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Morning thunderstorms are expected over Oshogbo, Akure and Shaki areas of the country. Rain showers are also likely over the coast of Lagos and Calabar in the morning, expect localised thunderstorms later in the day over some places like Abeokuta, Akure, Asaba, Benin, Owerri and Enugu axis. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 30- 34oC.
