Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has promised to sponsor a bill that will promote tourism in the country.
The radical lawmaker made the promise on Sunday shortly after climbing and descending from the famous Kufena Rock in Zaria, Kaduna State.
While lamenting neglect of historical and monumental places in the country, Mr. Sani said: “Kufena was the palace of Zazzau emirate before it was relocated to Turunku by the then Emir.
“Kufena rock if it becomes centre of attraction would boost revenue generation of the state and the country at large.
“I will sponsor a bill to make it a centre of attraction. Even though I am not from the opposition, I have climbed Kufena Rock and came down safely.”
