Ghanaian beauty murdered in Lagos ‘had court case’

Faustina Adigwe, the Ghanaian-born beauty murdered August 19 in Lagos, was involved in a court case, a source close to her has revealed.

The source, a family friend of the Adigwes, told Transport & Business Express that the mother of two minors and her husband gave a huge sum of money to someone to build a house for them but that the issue ended up in court.

“She told me that they gave someone 15 million naira (about $100,000) last year to build a house for them here in Lagos but he did not execute the contract. They went to court when all attempts to recover the money failed but the man counter-sued them,” the source disclosed.

The source said she expected the police to explore all leads while investigating the shooting of Tina and her husband.

As exclusively reported last Monday, August 20, by Transport & Business Express, Tina met her sudden death the previous night when unknown gunmen shot her and her husband as they were leisurely cruising around in the Randle area of Surulere, not too far from Ojuelegba.

Tina, who was married to a Nigerian and living in Lagos with her family, died after two men said to be riding on a motorcycle fired at her from close range but her husband survived and is presently in hospital.

Tina (shown in photo) has been described as “a very gentle and jovial lady who could not hurt a fly” and who “couldn’t have been involved in any shady business.”

She was an enterprising trader who shuttled between her native Ghana and Nigeria while her husband is into events management.
