IPMAN decries ‘hostile’ business relationship with NNPC

IPMAN executives after an expanded meeting on Wednesday

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) says it can no longer continue to do business under the hostile environment put in place by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Retail.

Rising from an expanded meeting on Wednesday, of its national officers, IPMAN said that the NNPC retail is a competitor, supplier, and regulator to IPMAN, a situation the union said is threatening the businesses of its members as members are refused allocation of products arbitrarily.

IPMAN said if the situation is not resolved, it could lead to another round of fuel scarcity.

It also called on the Federal Government to call the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) over the arbitrary increase in tariffs on its members while refusing to do the same for its competitor NNPC. (Channels TV)
