The Senate minutes ago finally passed the 2016 Appropriation Bill after months of drama arising from the padding of the budget presented to a joint session of the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari, on December 22, 2015.
The two chambers of the National Assembly, the Senate and the House of Representatives, had laid the 2016 Budget on Tuesday morning.
The event had been put off twice in the past as the lawmakers worked to correct the padded budget that has brought monumental embarrassment to the Muhammadu Buhari presidency.
