Nasarawa Speaker Danladi Jatau

Members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly on Friday, December 1, 2023, elected Hon. Danladi Jatau member, representing Kokona West Constituency, as the new Speaker of the house.
Likewise, the post of the Deputy Speaker went to Hon. Mohammed Adamu Oyanki, the member representing Doma North Constituency in the Assembly.
News Express reports that the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja recently nullified the election of the former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and declared Saad Ibrahim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner.
In his acceptance speech after taking oath of allegiance, Hon Danladi promised to work in collaboration with other arms of government for the overall progress and development of the state and the nation as a whole. He appealed for the lawmakers’ support to enable him achieve the objective.
