The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, February 4, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze situations will prevail over Kano, Katsina, Nguru, Gusau, Maiduguri and Gombe. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 18-23 o C.

CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Bida, Lafia, Ilorin, Jos and Kaduna will experience partly cloudy to increased cloudiness. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 19 -27 o C.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the southern region in the morning hours, while localised thunderstorms/rain showers are likely over the inland cities such as Akure, Oshogbo and Enugu including some Coastal areas like Port Harcourt, Calabar, Lagos and environs in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 23-27 o C.

NOTE: During this period of the year, the atmosphere is usually very dry, do ensure you take enough fluid to guide against dehydration.
