Rescued schoolgirl Ese Oruru finally returns to Bayelsa

The allegedly abducted 14-year-old schoolgirl, Ese Oruru, arrived in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State, last night in company of her mother, Mrs Rose Oruru, and some police officers from Abuja.

She was allegedly abducted in August 2015 by one Yunusa Dahiru, also known as Yellow, and taken to Kano where she was also allegedly married off.

The Commissioner of Police in Bayela State, Peter Ogunyanwo, confirmed Ese’s arrival.

He said she arrived few minutes before 8:00pm, local time.

On arrival, she was taken to the Officers’ Mess and went into a secret meeting with the Police Commissioner in Yenagoa.

The media was completely shutout from the meeting, as the police said she had been put through so much humiliation and should not be further exposed.

Before Ese left Abuja, the police said she had undergone some medical and psychological check-up, but the results were not made public.
