The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, February 3, 2016:
NORTHERN STATES: Cities like Kano, Katsina, Nguru, Gusau, Damaturu, and Sokoto are expected to be sunny. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 22-25 o C.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected with prospects of isolated rain showers/ thunderstorms over Jos, Abuja and Lafia during afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 24 -26 o C.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the southern region in the morning with prospects of isolated thunderstorms especially over Calabar, Obudu, Mambila Plateau, Eket, Port Harcourt, Asaba and Warri during the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range, 23-25 o C.
NOTE: During this period of the year, the atmosphere is usually very dry and sunny. Citizens should avoid substances that may ignite easily to reduce incidences of fire outbreaks. Also drink enough water to hydrate your body system.
