The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) says the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, February 25, 2016: “There should be some respite from the dust haze that engulfed the country earlier in the week. Improvement in horizontal visibilities are anticipated in the northern parts especially the extreme North. Increased moisture influx to the South will give rise to increased cloudiness and prospects of rain showers over parts of the South especially the coast.”
NiMET made the following regional predictions:
NORTHERN STATES: There are chances of improved horizontal visibilities in Hazy conditions over this region. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 19-22oC.
CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over the central states. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 16-24oC.
SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected in the morning while we expect increased cloud build up later in the day with prospects of localized rain showers over the coast and parts of the inland of the South later in the afternoon/evening hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 24-27oC.
