Imo State has the highest number of candidates for the 2016 examination of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to be conducted from Saturday, February 27, and expected to last not more than 14 days.
A statement issued yesterday in Abuja by JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. ’Dibu Ojerinde, showed that a total number of 1,589,175 candidates applied for the 2016 UTME.
The figure shows an increase of 113,673applicants when compared with last year’s figure of 1,475,477.
The statement showed Imo topping the list with 102,727 candidates while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) came last with 5,069 candidates.
