NiMET predicts moderate dust haze in the North, cloudy conditions in the South

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, February 25, 2016:

NORTHERN STATES: Moderate dust haze with visibility range of about 2 – 5km is expected over cities like Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Zaria, Sokoto and Damaturu. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 14-16oC.

CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Minna, Kaduna, Bida, Jalingo, Lafia, and Jos will experience thick dust haze condition. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 14 -22oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over the southern region in the morning with prospects for isolated showers some Coastal cities like Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Calabar and Benin and the hilly areas of the south like Ado Ekiti, Akure and Abeokuta during the afternoon hours. Night time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 22-26oC
