Unprecedented crowd as Nigerian Idol Season 8 Winner, Victory, visits Warri

The winner of the Season 8 Nigeria Idol, Victory Gbakara, has made his first public appearance in Warri after being declared the winner of the reality TV show.

Victory Gbakara was received at the Osubi Airport by members of his immediate family, Team Victory Gbakara fan base and a large number of the public.

The Air Piece aircraft that conveyed the winner touched the Osubi Airport at exactly 9:45am yesterday.

An unprecedented crowd, including Victorys mother, Bishop Julien Gbakara and his siblings were on ground to welcome the Nigerians idols winner amidst cheers at the arrival lounge of the Osubi Airport.

The convoy of the winner of the Nigerian Idol Season 8 also drove through major streets in Effurun and Udu before arriving at the headquarters of God's Will Mission where he was received by his father, Arch Bishop Solomon Gbakara.

In an interview, Victory Gbakara said that he was delighted to emerge the winner of the Nigeria Idol TV reality show, ascribing his victory to the doings of God.

Gbakara, who revealed that he had mixed feelings while going in for the contest, said that though, the journey of emerging winners was not easy, he hinted that the goal-getter attitude in him and the grace of God helped.

He revealed that he was the music director in his school during his university days disclosing that his vision was to build his musical career, and also look forward to doing more of his own songs and also partnering with top gospel musicians in Nigeria and across the globe.

The winner, while promising not to allow the height he has attained derail him from the things of God, appreciated those who voted for him and those who came to receive him as his backbone.

He however encouraged Nigerian Youths to have confidence in themselves, get connected to God, focus and be determined in order to break new grounds.

The parents of the winner, Arch Bishop Solomon Gbakara and his wife Julien whose joy knew no bounds were full of praise to God for honouring them with the victory of their son at the TV reality show.

They promised to guide and give the needed support to the musical career of their son victory provided it is in the line of God.

Arch-Bishop Gbakara and his wife thanked members of the public for allowing God to use them to ensure the victory of their son which they say has brought honour to them.

As winner of the season eight Nigeria Idol, Victory Gbakara went home with a brand new SUV, a recording deal worth N35 Million.
