Ghanaian MP Joseph Boakye Danqua Adu has been stabbed to death at his private residence in the capital, Accra, according to a BBC report quoting Ghana’s police.
The exact details of what happened are not clear, but relatives believe that the attackers climbed up a ladder to reach his bedroom, the report said.
“This,” the report said, “is the first time a sitting MP has been killed in Ghana.
“They do not have police protection at their private residences except those who hold leadership positions.”
